COVID-19 : Defy Govt. Order shopkeepers detained in Sopore

Sopore : Refusing to acknowledge the government’s order, several shopkeepers on Saturday were detained by police in north Kashmir’s Sopore town.

Reports reaching Kashmir Indepth said as many as shopkeepers who were not following the guidelines of admin have been detained this morning by Sopore police.

Reports said admin in town had already imposed restrictions and had appealed public as well as shopkeepers to obey the order and to co-operate civil authorities in order to tackle COVID-19 scare , however several shopkeepers in town didn’t follow the instructions and opened shops as per their own will.

A police officer while confirming to Kashmir Indepth said these shopkeepers, despite multiple announcement by keeping an eye over COVID-19 scare but these bunch of shopkeepers refused to follow the instructions. The officer said we have arrested them now they ll face the consequences as per law. The officer however appealed the general public to stay indoors, take precautionary measures, and cooperative with civil administration to tackle this coronavirus threat.
