Army soldier shoots self with service rifle in Bandipora

Bandipora, April 05 : An army soldier shoots himself dead with his service rifle in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday.

Reports reaching said Sepoy Satendra Kumar Tomar of Murena MP shot himself at 14 RR camp in north Kashmir’s Bandipora at wee hours of Sunday.

After hearing the gunshot, the soldier’s colleagues rushed to the spot and found him lying in a pool of blood reports added.

A police officer also confirmed this incident and said a case has been registered in this regard and further investigation has been taken up. Officer said it was not immediately known what forced the soldier to take the extreme step. (GNS)
