Srinagar, Sept 18 (KINS): A delegation of the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA), led by National Convenor Nasir Khuehami, met Rajya Sabha MP and AICC Media and Publicity Department Chairman Pawan Khera in New Delhi on Friday and raised concerns over recruitment controversies, examination irregularities and paper leaks in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a JKSA statement, the delegation discussed issues affecting students and job aspirants, including alleged recruitment scams, examination cancellations, procedural lapses, outsourcing and institutional failures.
The delegation urged Khera to convey the concerns to Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and seek parliamentary intervention into controversies surrounding recruitment examinations, including JK Police Sub-Inspectors, Finance Accounts Assistants, Junior Engineers, Fire and Emergency Services and other JKSSB examinations.
JKSA said repeated disruptions and delays had affected the career prospects and financial stability of thousands of aspirants. It called for transparent investigations, institutional accountability, timely decisions and stronger safeguards against examination malpractice.
The Association also sought consideration of an independent oversight mechanism to strengthen transparency and accountability in future recruitment processes.
Khera, according to the statement, gave the delegation a detailed hearing and assured them that the issues raised would be conveyed to Rahul Gandhi and taken up through appropriate parliamentary and institutional channels.(KINS)
