COVID-19: Handwara Police booked 21 persons for defying prohibitory orders

Handwara 5th of April : Handwara Police in its efforts to ensure complete lockdown across PD Handwara for the safety of people; despite clear lockdown orders of Govt. and time to time announcements made by Handwara Police via loud speakers ; today 21 more persons have been arrested by Handwara Police in its jurisdictional Police Stations for violating the orders issued U/s 144 CrPC.

In the jurisdiction of Police Station Handwara Case FIR No. 108/2020 under relevent sections of law has been registered against 12 violators and investigation taken up.

While in the jurisdiction of Police Station Qalamabad 05 persons have been arrested in case FIR NO 23/2020 U/s 188 IPC for violating the prohibitory orders over Coronavirus.

Similarly in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vilgam 04 persons have been arrested in case FIR NO 22/2020 U/s 188 IPC for violating prohibitory orders imposed by District Magistrate U/s 144 CrPC..

Once again people of Handwara are requested to follow Govt. advisories/orders so that this deadly virus/ COVlD-19 could be controlled.
