Four persons held for circulating fake currency notes in Bandipora

Bandipora, May 09 (KINS) : Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested four persons for circulating fake currency notes in north Kashmir’s Bandipora District.

As per news agency KINS , SSP Bandipora Rahual Malik in a press conference said  “Acting on specific information, Bandipora Police arrested four individuals two from Bandipora and two from Kulgam  and recovered fake Indian currency notes from their possession.”

He said police seized counterfeit currency notes worth Rs 5 lakh of 500, 2000, 100 denomination from them  and also two printers recorded.

He said a case FIR number of 40/2020 US 489 B, 420 IPS stands registered in Police Station Bandipora and stringent sections of UAPA act is added against the accused and further investigation has bee initiated SSP added.(KINS)
