COVID-19: 58-year-man from Kokernag dies at CD hospital, toll reaches 85

A 58-year-old man from Kokernag has died at CD hospital Srinagar after testing positive for Covid-19, taking the total number of deaths in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to 85.

Dr. Saleem Tak Medical Superintendent at CD hospital told news agency —the patient was shifted here from GMC Anantnag on 19th of June and died this afternoon.

He said that patient was on ventilator and was suffering from thyroid and pneumonia.

Earlier, a 65-year-old male from Pulwama died at SMHS. Nazir Choudhary Medical Superintendent at SMHS said a 65 year old male from Kakapora area of Pulwama district who was tested positive died at SMHS on Sunday night.

He was suffering from bilateral pneumonia, diabetes and hypertension, he said.

With two more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached to 85 including 75 from Kashmir division and 10 from Jammu division. (KNO)
