Two Militants killed, JCO among three army soldiers injured in ongoing Kulgam gunfight

Srinagar, July 04(KINS) : Two militants were killed while a Junior Commsioned officer(JCO) among three soldiers were injured in an ongoing encounter in Arrah area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

An official told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), that one more militant has been killed sofar taking the toll to 2 while a JCO among three soldiers were injured. He said all injured soldiers were shifted to 92 Base hospital Srinagar for treatment.

A police officer told KINS that two militant have been killed in the gunfight,he said operation is underway.

Earlier a joint team of Army’s 34RR, Police and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Arrah area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Meanwhile authorities suspended mobile internet services in Kulgam district as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order following this gunfight. (KINS)
