6 civilians injured in Kupwara cross border shelling

Kupwara, August 7(KINS): Atleast six civilians were injured in a cross border shelling along the line of control in north Kashmir’s Kupwara District on Friday.

Officials sources told KINS that six civilians were injured in Kupwara after India and Pakistan armies exchanged gunfire.

A police officer also confirmed this border shelling to KINS and identified all injured as Hamida Begium wife of Mohd Akbar Khan of Rangward age 42 years Zakir Khan son Ab Rashid Khan of Rangward age 24 years, Nesser Ahmad Khan of Ab Rashid Khan of Rangward age 26 years, Mohammad Arif, Mohammad Yaqoob Mir and Rafaqar.

The officer said all injured have been shifted to nearby hospital for treatment and where their condition is said to be stable.(KINS)
