Srinagar, Sep 17 : Three militants were killed in a Gunfight in Batmaloo arra of Srinagar on Thursday morning police said.
In a tweet police said three unidentified militants were killed in Batmaloo area of Srinagar. The tweet further reads that search operation in the area is underway.
Earlier in the initial stage of gunfight a 45-year-old woman identified as Kounsar Reyaz was killed during cross firing while a CRPF officer identified as Rahul Sharma was injured and is undergoing treatment at MI hospital.
Earleir a joint team of forces conducted searches in the area following inputs about the presence of some militants.
The search operation turned into gunfight after hidding militants fired upon them.
