Srinagar Police arrests a notorious drug peddler, psychotropic substance recovered


Srinagar, Nov 07 (KINS): Acting tough against the drug dealings, Police in Srinagar have arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.
The police in a statement issued to news agency KINS said that officers during patrolling in the Jurisdiction of PP Chanpora arrested a notorious drug peddler at Natipora Chowk identified as Umar gull @ Boba Dar resident of Astanpora Natipora Srinagar. During checking, officers were able to recover 720 capsules of banned drug Spasmoproxyvon from his possession.  He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station Sadder where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 264/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Sadder and investigation has been initiated.
“Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace”. (KINS)
