The Gulmarg is a heavenly place on earth and the courses conducted by the IISM makes it very splendid and beautiful.

The Institute despite of several difficulties such shortage of water supply etc. managed their all the four courses till date very well. The efforts of the staff as reported by trainees are highly appreciable. In this 04th snow skiing course 70 students from all over the country participated. The duration of each course is 02 weeks. This time the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India has been kind enough to reduce the fee of trainees by Rs.1,000/-. The training of basic, intermediate and advance skills was imparted simultaneously.

The Institute has a best centrally heated building where students are provided all comforts during the courses. It also has best imported ski equipment and grooming machines which enables its students to learn world class skiing techniques. It has best ski instructors who are admired by all students.

Institute runs 06 ski courses in each winter which are always oversubscribed due to high standers of training and administration by the Institute. Institute will conduct two more ski course for which students from all over the country are joining. Institute is contributing immensely towards the promotion of adventure tourism in Kashmir and bringing Gulmarg on the map of world ski destination. (KINS)
