Situation improving, SOPs, CAB vital to prevent spike in infections: DC Pulwama

Pulwama June 15 (KINS): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer ul Haq Choudary today said that the Covid-19 situation is gradually improving in the district adding that people need to follow all SOPs strictly to keep Covid at bay.
The DC said this while speaking at a press conference on Covid 19 scenario besides the measures taken to mitigate its effects in the district.
Choudhry informed that the discharge and recovery rates have shown significant improvement and positivity rate has also witnessed downward slide during this period.
Regarding vaccination, DC said that Block Rajpora has achieved 100 percent target of priority groups, Pulwama 90 percent, Tral 85 percent and Pampore 72 percent and efforts are being intensified to achieve cent percent inoculation of priority groups in these 03 blocks as well.
Door to door vaccination is being carried out to achieve the targets besides average 3000 to 4000 tests are being done daily, Choudhry added.
The DC impressed upon all stakeholders and the general public to adhere to Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) during unlock to prevent any spike in infections. He said all the developmental activities shall be carried out in strict adherence to SOPs.
