I-Day full dress rehearsal held across Jammu region

Jammu, Aug 13 (KINS ) The full dress rehearsal for 75th Independence Day was held on Friday across Jammu division of the Union Territory.

In Jammu, this year the main function is to be held at Maulana Azad Stadium.

Senior administrative officer inspected the parade, hoisted the national flag and took the salute to the march past comprising contingents of Police, CRPF, JKAP, Forest Protection Force and IRP and others.

The function commenced with the hoisting of the national flag and was followed by Flag March and March Past.

On the occasion, a scintillating, pre-recorded cultural programme, depicting patriotism, culture and national anthem was also performed.

However, all COVID SOPs and guidelines were followed appropriately during the rehearsal.

Similarly, full dress rehearsal was also held in other districts of the division.

Tight security has been put in place especially around the main venue ahead of Independence Day.

Drones are also being used to maintain vigil at special locations like markets, vital installations and different venues where the National Flag is to be hoisted.
