DC Shopian tours various areas of the district

SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 15 ( KINS ): The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today visited various areas of the district and held a public grievance redress camp at Block Herman, Shopian under the weekly Block Diwas program.

The DC visited DK Pora, Zawoora and other villages of the district and also inspected macadamization work of Shirmal to Mastpora to facilitate the general masses and exhorted upon the concerned executing agency to gear up their activities for completion of the macadamization work before winter sets in.

The programme was attended by DDC Member Herman, Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, Tehsildar Shopian, BDO, and a large number of people from the adjoining areas.

The public on the occasion raised various issues including, scarcity of water, uninterrupted power supply, replacement of damaged electric poles, road connectivity and completion of all ongoing developmental works.

The DC after giving patient hearing assured the visiting delegations and individuals that their genuine demands would be looked into and redressed within the shortest possible time.

Vaishya also inspected Primary Health Centre (PHC) DK Pora and held interaction with the patients and their attendants. He enquired from them about the medical facilities being provided to them.

The DC also went round the PHC and inspected the Casualty Ward, Immunization Ward to take first hand appraisal of the facilities being provided to the patients at the PHC.

He stressed upon the health functionaries to work with added zeal and zest and leave no stone unturned in providing each and every possible health to the patients.
