DDC Kulgam reviews measures to promote tourism in district

KULGAM, NOVEMBER, 11 ( KINS): To discuss the measures for promotion of tourism in district, District Development Commissioner, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of officers here at Mini-Secreterait Kulgam.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, CEO Aharbal Development Authority, DFO, Tourism officer, SDM Noorabad, CPO and other officers.

During the meeting the DDC instructed the officers to come up with a proper plan for developing facilities at Trekking routes from Aharbal to Kousarnag, Chiranbal, Badibehak and other trekking routes. He also directed the concerned to identify the location for rafting at Veshow river.

During the Meeting, CEO, Aharbal Development Authority also briefed the meeting about the measures taken at Aharbal for Devlopment and beautification of this tourist  spot.

The DDC said that district has huge tourism potential and multipronged facilities needs to be developed to give boost to the sector and to attract a good number of tourists in all seasons.

During the meeting arrangements for tourism festival at Aharbal were also discussed. Officers from tourism informed that during the festival, stalls of various departments, trekking expedition, cultural programmes will be main attraction of this programme. ( KINS)
