JKP Postpones Cycle Race “Pedal for Peace” – 2022


Srinagar, September 09, 2022: Cycle Race “Pedal for Peace” – 2022 scheduled to be conducted on September 11, 2022 (Sunday) by Jammu & Kashmir Police at Srinagar has been postponed. The fresh date shall be announced later on in due course of time.
Vide communication No.3/4/2022-Public dated 09.09.2022 issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, it has been announced that as a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth-II United Kingdom of great Britain and Northern Ireland who passed away on 8th September, 2022 (Sunday), Govt. of India has decided that there will be one day State Mourning on 11.09.2022 throughout India and that on the day of mourning, the National flag will be flown half-mast throughout India on all buildings where the National flag is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment on the day i.e September 11, 2022 (Sunday).
All the stake holders associated with organizing the Cycle Race “Pedal for Peace” – 2022 and aspiring/ prospective participants of the Cycle Race have been appealed to wait for announcement of fresh date of Cycle Race “Pedal for Peace” – 2022 to be organized by J&K Police.
