IG CRPF sgr sector affirms CRPF’s unwavering readiness for challenges, unveils 2023 CRPF football cup

Srinagar, Dec 19: Facing persistent challenges from terrorist activities, the Inspector General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the Srinagar sector issued a firm statement, affirming the force’s unwavering commitment to peace and security.

Despite potential threats, the IG emphasized the CRPF’s steadfast preparedness for any situation. Following the launch of the CRPF Football Cup 2023 in TRC Srinagar, Inspector General Ajay Kumar Yadav stated, “We are always ready to deal with any situation. Our primary goal is to ensure the safety and peace of the region. The commitment of our personnel is unwavering, giving a hundred percent to uphold the tranquility of the valley.”

Yadav highlighted that the football tournament serves as a means to connect with the youth, offering them a platform to showcase talent and channel energy positively. “Sporting events like the CRPF Football Cup promote a healthy lifestyle and provide a positive outlet for the energy of our young generation,” he emphasized.

Acknowledging the need to keep youth away from negative influences, particularly drug abuse, the CRPF’s Srinagar chief mentioned broader community-centric initiatives. These initiatives aim to create awareness about the detrimental effects of drugs and foster an environment encouraging healthier lifestyle choices.

“We are not just here to address security concerns; we are invested in the overall well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. By organizing events like the CRPF Football Cup, we aim to create camaraderie and unity among the youth, steering them away from the pitfalls of substance abuse,” he stated.

The CRPF IG concluded, expressing the belief that sports events contribute to fostering a positive atmosphere, promoting teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition. Engaging with the youth through sports, the CRPF envisions a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir.

As the CRPF Kashmir Sector proactively engages with the community, the focus remains on fostering positive relationships with valley residents, ensuring active youth involvement in activities contributing to personal development and the overall well-being of the region.

Meanwhile, the CRPF Football Cup 2023 commenced with a thrilling inaugural match where Kashmir UTD secured a triumphant 2-1 victory over Kashmir FA. The match showcased the athletic prowess and competitive spirit of young footballers, with both teams displaying commendable teamwork and strategic play.

The match’s excitement resonated with spectators, as rising stars Sadat and Junaid of Kashmir UTD exhibited remarkable individual skills. The closely contested match served as a testament to the high level of talent in the footballing community of the region.
