Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi Inspects Jamia Masjid Complexes in Udhampur & Ramban, Reviews Waqf Properties

Srinagar, Jan 29: Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, the Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, conducted a comprehensive tour of Udhampur and Ramban districts, focusing on the Jamia Masjid Complexes at Eid Gah Road in Udhampur and Ramban. Accompanied by Waqf Board Member Nawabuddin and CEO Dr. Majid Jahangir, Dr. Andrabi assessed the developmental proposals for the Udhampur Jamia, presented by the Board Member and the Additional Commissioner Revenue (ACR) of the district.
During the tour, Dr. Andrabi also meticulously inspected numerous Waqf-controlled properties in both districts, engaging with various delegations and representatives from public social organizations. She assured the community that the Board would attentively consider proposals submitted by shrine management committees and public representatives regarding the integration of shrines into the Waqf Board management system.
“People’s trust in the transparent functioning of the Board is paramount to us, and we are dedicated to addressing and respecting all legitimate public demands,” remarked Dr. Andrabi. She emphasized that the Waqf Board belongs to every individual and pledged to initiate the process of taking over several shrines in the Union Territory following thorough deliberation by the Board.
Highlighting ongoing developmental initiatives across Jammu & Kashmir, Dr. Andrabi affirmed the Board’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and services. She reiterated the Board’s pledge to continue its efforts in this regard, ensuring progress and prosperity for all communities in the region.
