Supply of Iodine-131 Radioisotopes Suspended for First Week of April, SKIMS Informs Public

Srinagar, March 29 – The Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) has notified the general public regarding the temporary suspension of iodine-131 radioisotope supply for the first week of April 2024. The announcement comes following communication from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Radiopharmaceuticals Division in Mumbai (BRIT Mumbai).
In a message today, SKIMS conveyed, “The general public is informed that there will be no supply of iodine-131 radioisotopes for the 1st week of April 2024 as has been communicated by BRIT Mumbai.”
Further updates regarding the resumption of iodine-131 supply will be communicated as soon as available.
