Municipal Council Kulgam Initiates Special Sanitation Drive Ahead of Jumatul Vida, Shab-e-Qadr, and Eid-ul-Fitr

Srinagar, Apr 04: In anticipation of the significant religious events of Jumatul Vida, Shab-e-Qadr, and Eid-ul-Fitr, the Municipal Council Kulgam has embarked on a special sanitation drive to ensure that the town remains neat, clean, and green during these auspicious occasions.

Early this morning, municipal workers commenced the sanitation campaign, focusing particularly on mosques and shrines across the town. The initiative aims to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in these sacred places, facilitating worshippers and devotees as they gather for prayers and religious observances.

One of the officials of Municipal Council Kulgam, emphasized the importance of this drive in upholding the town’s sanitation standards and fostering a clean environment for residents and visitors alike. He stated, “Our primary goal is to ensure that Kulgam remains pristine and hygienic, especially during times of religious significance. This special sanitation drive underscores our commitment to providing a clean and healthy environment for everyone.”

The municipal workers, equipped with cleaning tools and supplies, are actively engaged in sweeping, garbage collection, and other sanitation activities to address any litter or waste accumulation in the town’s vicinity.

Residents have expressed appreciation for the timely initiative by the Municipal Council Kulgam, acknowledging the importance of maintaining cleanliness, particularly during religious events when communal gatherings are prevalent.
