Only “Bharat Mata ki Jai” slogans resonate in Jammu & Kashmir: Amit Shah

Srinagar, Apr 16: During a poll rally in Jammu on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that only “Bharat Mata ki Jai” slogans resonate in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the unwavering commitment to the nation. Addressing the crowd, Shah refuted claims made by Mehbooba Mufti regarding the removal of Article 370, stating that the tricolour continues to fly high in the region, symbolizing its enduring spirit.
Shah launched a blistering critique against the opposition parties, urging the people of Jammu and Kashmir to refrain from supporting Congress, National Conference, and the People’s Democratic Party, alleging exploitation by these parties. He hinted at the BJP’s cautious approach in Kashmir, indicating a possible decision not to field candidates in three Kashmir Lok Sabha seats, affirming that the party prioritizes the region’s welfare over political gains.
Highlighting the transformative changes under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Shah credited the government for addressing long-standing grievances, including the scrapping of Article 370. He emphasized the shift from turmoil to development in Jammu and Kashmir, citing the prevalence of laptops over stones in the hands of youth as a testament to progress.
Furthermore, Shah underscored the BJP’s commitment to inclusive growth, citing the provision of reservations for various marginalized communities in Jammu and Kashmir. He praised the region’s upward trajectory in development under the leadership of PM Modi, emphasizing the government’s dedication to advancing the welfare of all sections of society.
The rally served as a platform for Shah to reaffirm the BJP’s agenda for Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing national unity, development, and empowerment of every individual in the region.
