Indian Army, JK Police Launch Joint Operation in Bandipore Forest

Srinagar, Apr 24: In response to specific intelligence, the Indian Army said that the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police initiated a joint operation in the Mulkhyama Forest area of Bandipore. Following a cordoned-off search, a firefight ensued in the early hours of this morning. Operations are currently ongoing.
Earlier Jammu and Kashmir Police said that a contact was established between terrorists and security forces in the Renji forest area of Aragam, Bandipora.
