J&K Police urges public to stay vigilant against unauthorized posting of photos with DGP and officers on Social Media

Jammu, April 24 – The Jammu and Kashmir Police has issued a plea to the general public, urging vigilance against individuals who are posting photographs with the DGP and other senior officers on social media platforms without proper permission. These images, often taken during social and cultural events, are being shared without consent, which not only lacks decorum but also constitutes a potential criminal offense.

The act of sharing such images without consent is not only a breach of etiquette but can also lead to unlawful activities, such as using the photos to intimidate or extort others by falsely implying a connection to authority. The police emphasize that such behavior must be exposed, and individuals should not hesitate to report any suspicious activity.

The appeal extends to all members of the community, emphasizing the importance of collective vigilance in safeguarding against such mischievous acts. The J&K Police reassures citizens that they need not fear any repercussions from exposing such activities and urges everyone to remain alert and cautious.
