Srinagar, July 04: General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), chaired a high-level Joint Security Review Meeting at Nagrota on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by top military and security officials, including the Army Commander Northern Command, General Officer Commanding (GOC) White Knight Corps, GOC Chinar Corps, GOC Rising Star Corps, Director General Jammu and Kashmir Police, Additional Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), heads of Intelligence Agencies, and representatives of Security Forces from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The deliberations during the meeting underscored the imperative of synergy and seamless coordination between all Armed Forces and security agencies to maintain peace and stability in the region. The discussions focused on the current security situation and the measures required to counter any potential threats effectively.
General Dwivedi emphasized the need for a unified approach and enhanced cooperation among various security forces to ensure the safety and security of the region.
