Police Arrest Individuals for Posting Sensitive Content on Social Media

Srinagar, July 18, 2024: The police have taken swift action following the posting of sensitive content on social media that targeted the religious sentiments of a particular community. The incident has led to the registration of FIR No. 29/2024 under sections 299 and 196 of the BNS at Police Station Shaheedganj.
“We take such matters very seriously and have zero tolerance for any actions that incite communal disharmony,” stated a police spokesperson. “The accused individuals have been arrested and are currently in custody. Our investigation is ongoing, and we are committed to ensuring that justice is served swiftly and fairly,” the police said.
Authorities have urged the public to refrain from sharing or engaging with such inflammatory content and to report any similar incidents to the police immediately.
