Srinagar Nov 05 ( KINS ) : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today visited Baramulla, where he delivered a strong message against terrorism, promising strict action against both terrorists and those aiding or sheltering them. The LG was speaking at the Raabta-e-Awaam program organized by the Save Youth Save Future foundation, where he engaged directly with the youth and the community.
“We will not spare terrorists and those aiding and abetting them in targeting our people. We will bring them to justice,” asserted LG Sinha. He encouraged the public to stand firm against those threatening peace and called for collective efforts between security forces, administration, and the people to eliminate terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
During his address, the Lieutenant Governor also reiterated the government’s dedication to empowering the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, underscoring their role as a driving force for a peaceful, vibrant, and developed region. “Our youth, as a fearless force of creativity and change, are building a bright and vibrant Jammu and Kashmir,” Sinha said. He acknowledged the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in advancing efforts to meet the aspirations of Jammu and Kashmir’s youth.
The LG called on the younger generation to uphold the ideals and values of the country’s founding leaders and work with team spirit for peace and progress. Emphasizing the transformative power of youth, he said, “The combined strength of the youth, ignited by determination to carve a new destiny, will be a powerful force in achieving the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) and a joyous, prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.”
Highlighting key reforms from the past few years, LG Sinha encouraged the youth to channel their energy into constructive social, cultural, and developmental efforts. He emphasized that when the youth are involved in creative and productive activities, it not only unlocks their potential but also fosters overall development, innovation, and progress in various sectors.
Additionally, LG Sinha addressed the pressing issue of drug addiction, which he called one of the significant challenges facing the youth. He urged the young people to join the fight for a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir, expressing that a drug-free society would pave the way for youth to realize their potential and build a promising future.
The Lieutenant Governor commended the Save Youth Save Future foundation for its commitment to youth empowerment and expressed his confidence in the young generation’s ability to contribute to a modern, progressive Jammu and Kashmir. In a session that followed, young panelists from different backgrounds shared their insights on the changing landscape and growth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Responding to various issues and concerns raised by the youth, civil society members, and local representatives, LG Sinha assured that the administration would take appropriate action to address these matters. He also urged citizens to identify and isolate anti-national elements attempting to disrupt peace in the region.
The event concluded with the Lieutenant Governor honoring young achievers, social workers, and notable community members for their contributions to society. Dignitaries present included Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, IGP Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Birdi, DIG NKR Baramulla Maqsood-Ul-Zaman, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Minga Sherpa, and Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation.
