Sheikh Ashiq confirms joining Engineer Rashid’s AIP by tonight, says

“Party will decide on my Assembly Election candidacy”

Srinagar, Aug 27 (KINS): Prominent businessman and former President Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI), Sheikh Ashiq confirmed today that he will officially join Engineer Rashid’s Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) by tonight.

Ashiq, a prominent figure in Jammu and Kashmir, stated his dedication to adhering to the party’s guidelines and expressed his readiness to serve wherever needed.

Speaking to news agency KINS over phone Sheikh Ashiq said, “There have been discussions between me and the party, and now everything has been sorted. I will be working with the party for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Wherever the party needs me, I will be available.”

When asked if he plans to contest in the upcoming assembly elections, Ashiq responded, “The party will decide. I am ready for whatever my party asks me to do.”

AIP Leaders are hopeful that Ashiq’s formal entry into AIP is expected to strengthen the party’s position ahead of the much-anticipated elections in Jammu and Kashmir.(KINS)
