“Criticizes Congress, NC for Corruption & Support for Article 370”
Srinagar, 07 Sep 2024: In a fervent address at the “Karyakarta Sammelan” in Palaura, Jammu, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah launched a scathing critique of the Congress and National Conference (NC), accusing them of corruption, anti-development policies, and supporting terrorism.
Amit Shah stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party will secure a full majority in Jammu & Kashmir with the support of the state’s people.
He emphasized that in this assembly election, voters will cast their ballots under a single flag—the Tricolor—and one constitution, moving away from the previous dual flag and dual constitution arrangement.
Shah, addressing a gathering of BJP workers and leaders, highlighted the achievements of the NDA government and reassured that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would safeguard the rights and reservations granted to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The event was attended by key BJP figures including Jammu and Kashmir Assembly candidates, election in-charge Kishan Reddy Gangapuram, Tarun Chugh, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, and MP Shri Jugal Kishore Sharma.
Shah emphasized that the BJP is committed to creating a “peaceful, secure, developed, and prosperous” Jammu and Kashmir, contrasting sharply with what he described as the failures of the Congress and NC.
During his speech, Shah underscored the historical significance of the upcoming election, noting that for the first time since India’s independence, voters in Jammu and Kashmir will vote under a single flag and constitution, following the abrogation of Article 370.
He praised the recent record voter turnout in the Lok Sabha elections and declared the BJP’s intention to secure a decisive victory in the state.
Shah also criticized the opposition for their alleged attempts to reintroduce Article 370 and undermine the reservations for various communities.
He defended the Modi government’s achievements, including the successful conduct of the Amarnath Yatra and ongoing development projects, and promised continued investment in infrastructure, tourism, and social welfare.
He urged BJP karyakartas to ensure high voter turnout on Election Day, emphasizing the importance of every vote and the need to counter the divisive agendas of the Congress and NC.
Shah concluded by calling on the people to support the BJP for a stable and prosperous future for Jammu and Kashmir, warning against the return of terrorism and instability under alternative governments.(KINS)
