College students holds massive rally in Shopian condemning killing of non-local Labourer

KINS DESK
Srinagar, Oct 19 (KINS): In a powerful display of unity, college students alongside the civil administration of Shopian held a massive rally on Friday morning to condemn the brutal killing of a non-local laborer.
The rally, which saw the participation of hundreds of students, was a response to the killing of a non-local man in Shopian District.
The students, carrying banners and placards with messages of peace, stressed that such inhumane acts must be stopped, as no religion advocates for the killing of innocent people.
“We stand united against violence and for humanity. These killings are against the principles of every faith,” one student remarked during the rally as per the news agency KINS.
The protest march began from the town’s main square, with students chanting slogans for peace and harmony.
Members of the civil administration, local leaders, and social activists joined the march, sending a strong message of solidarity with the victim and his family.
The District Police Shopian stated that the administration would take every possible measure to ensure justice.
The rally ended peacefully, with participants urging the public to reject violence and promote unity in the face of attempts to divide communities through fear and terror.(KINS)
