KULGAM, JULY 08( KINS ): A meeting of officers on E-waste Management was today held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather in the meeting hall at Mini Secretariat here.
At the outset, electronic-Waste Management rule 2016 was discussed in detail and it was decided that collection centres for electronic-Waste Management shall be established in each ULB of Kulgam district for proper and scientific disposal of electronic Waste.
Focus was laid on capacity building at district level and to organize special workshops to sensitize all stakeholders.
Besides, all stakeholders have been directed to follow the guidelines for safe disposal of e-waste.
The meeting was attended by ACD, District Officer PCC Kulgam, officers from education department, J&K Bank and other departments. ( KINS )
