SSP Baramulla hosts public interaction program to address community concerns

Srinagar, Oct 21 : SSP Baramulla, Sh. Mohammad Zaid Malik (JKPS), chaired a public interaction program today at the Community Marriage Hall, Old Town Baramulla. The event was attended by senior police officials including SP Ops Baramulla, Sh. Feroz Yehya (JKPS), SP Hqrs Baramulla, Sh. Syed Yasir Qadri (JKPS), DySP Hqrs Baramulla, Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan (JKPS), and SHO PS Baramulla, Inspector Mohd Rafiq, along with other district police officers.

The program attracted a wide range of participants, including local citizens, social and cultural activists, religious leaders, traders, and transporters. Attendees raised several issues of public concern, and the police assured that all legitimate grievances would be addressed. Police-related matters would be resolved on priority, while concerns pertaining to civil administration would be taken up with relevant authorities.

During his speech, SSP Malik emphasized the importance of strengthening grassroots policing to enhance public confidence. He urged the community and police to unite in combating drug abuse and other social evils, stressing the need for a collaborative effort to serve society. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from both the police and the public.
