Srinagar, Oct 22 ( KINS ): In a major breakthrough, Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) conducted a series of coordinated raids across several districts, including Srinagar, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Kulgam, Budgam, Anantnag, and Pulwama. The raids targeted a recruitment network of the newly formed terrorist organization, Tehreek Labaik Ya Muslim (TLM), believed to be an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
The operation resulted in the dismantling of the group’s recruitment module, which was allegedly being directed by a Pakistani handler, known by the alias ‘@ Baba Hamas.’ The CIK’s swift action aims to neutralize any further growth of the group and disrupt their operations in the region. TLM is suspected of attempting to expand its base in Jammu & Kashmir through the recruitment of local youth.
This effort marks a significant step towards curbing terrorism in the Valley, and further details of the operation are awaited. Authorities are now investigating the group’s connections, funding sources, and larger objectives in the region.( KINS )
