Traffic advisory for “Run for Unity” event tomorrow in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 28 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued a traffic advisory for October 29 tomorrow, to ensure smooth traffic flow during the “Run for Unity” event in Srinagar.
News agency KINS reported that the event, taking place from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, will see participants, including VIPs, running from SKICC (Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre) to the Botanical Garden.
To manage the expected congestion along the route, the Srinagar Traffic Police has designated specific parking areas for participants, including Police Golf Course, Royal Spring Golf Course, Jet Ski Point, Botanical Garden, Barista near Lalit Ghat
From 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, traffic on Boulevard Road, spanning from Lalit Ghat to Kralsangri, will be restricted. Motorists traveling to Nishat, Shalimar, and Harwan are advised to take the Dalgate-Rainawari-Hazratbal route instead.
Those traveling from Harwan, Shalimar, and Nishat to Lal Chowk should use the Foreshore-Hazratbal route.
Additionally, drivers from Gulab Bagh, Zakoora, Naseembagh, Habbak, and nearby areas are encouraged to travel via the Habak-Dargah-Khanyar route instead of Foreshore Road.
Participants are requested to park only in designated zones, as vehicles parked along the roadside will be towed. Emergency vehicles will be allowed to use the shortest available routes.
