New Delhi, Feb 01 (KINS): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today presented her record 8th consecutive Union Budget under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing accelerated growth and inclusive development.
Nirmala Sitharaman as per news agency KINS reiterated India’s position as the fastest-growing economy among developing nations, calling the next five years a key opportunity to drive economic expansion and achieve the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’—a developed India with zero poverty, quality education, and accessible healthcare.
PM Modi calls Budget a ‘People’s Budget’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the budget, calling it a “people’s budget” that will boost savings and investments, ensuring financial empowerment for citizens.
Addressing a press conference after presenting the budget, Sitharaman reiterated that the government has put more money in people’s hands through revised income tax slabs while maintaining strong capital expenditure for national growth.
