Srinagar Police attach vehicle of terrorist associate under UAPA

Srinagar, April 18 (KINS): In its continued efforts to dismantle the terror ecosystem, Srinagar Police have attached a vehicle belonging to a terrorist associate under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).

A motorcycle bearing registration number PB17A-3362 (Chassis No. 379870, Model Year 2007), in the possession of one Fahad Bashir Siddiqui, son of Bashir Ahmad Siddiqui, resident of Akilmir Khanyar, has been formally attached by the police.

This action was taken under Section 25 of the UAPA in connection with investigations related to FIR No. 55/2021, registered at Police Station MR Gunj.

Notices prohibiting the sale, transfer, or rental of the attached vehicle have been duly issued in accordance with legal provisions. The attachment was executed by a designated police team in full compliance with established legal procedures.

Srinagar Police remain steadfast in their commitment to act firmly against individuals involved in or supporting unlawful and terror-related activities.(KINS)
