Omar Abdullah urges Budgam voters to elect Aga Mehmood for development, better services

KINS Correspondent

Srinagar, Nov 07 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday appealed to the people of Budgam to vote for National Conference (NC) candidate Aga Mehmood in the upcoming bypolls, saying he is the right choice for ensuring development, employment opportunities, and reduction in electricity bills.

Addressing several rallies while campaigning for the party candidate, Omar said that electing Aga Mehmood would pave the way for Budgam’s progress. “If you want development of Budgam, employment opportunities, and a reduction in electricity bills, then Aga Mehmood is the best choice,” the Chief Minister said, according to news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).

He cautioned people against being misled by opposition parties, accusing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of aligning with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2015 for political gains. “The PDP joined hands with the BJP in 2015. Now, you have an opportunity to choose wisely,” he added.

Omar said the people of Budgam will decide who represents them for the next four years, emphasizing that the upcoming bypoll is crucial for the district’s future. The Budgam bypolls are scheduled to be held on November 11. The PDP has fielded Aga Muntazir from Budgam.  (KINS)
