Two former Ministers return to Congress in Jammu

Jammu, Nov 19 (KINS): Former ministers Jugal Kishore Sharma and Abdul Majid Wani, along with hundreds of supporters, rejoined the Congress on Thursday.

Former MLCs Subash Gupta and Brij Mohan Sharma also returned to the party during an event marking the 108th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

They were welcomed back by senior Congress leaders, including national general secretary Syed Naseer Hussain, JKPCC president Tariq Hameed Karra, and AICC general secretary G.A. Mir.

The leaders had left Congress in 2022 to join Azad’s newly formed party but decided to return following DPAP’s poor performance in recent Lok Sabha and assembly elections.

Addressing the gathering, Jugal Kishore Sharma said Congress remains committed to secularism and allows leaders the freedom to express themselves. He vowed to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.(KINS)
