Social media posts with regard to JKPSC exam are misleading: Office of LG Manoj Sinha

Srinagar, Dec 06 (KINS): The Office of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday issued a clarification over the ongoing controversy surrounding the JKPSC examination, stating that several social media posts circulating online were “misleading” and not based on facts.
In an official statement shared on X, the LG’s Office said the file received by Lok Bhavan on December 2, 2025, pertained only to age relaxation and had no connection with the conduct or scheduling of the JKPSC exam. The office further expressed concern that despite four days having passed, no response was received at Lok Bhavan.
Reaffirming support for the youth, the LG said he “fully sympathizes with young aspirants.”
The statement also clarified the examination timeline, noting that the advertisement notice for the recruitment was issued by the J&K Public Service Commission on 22 August 2025, while the exam date—7 December 2025—was formally notified on 6 November 2025.
The original tweet: “Social media posts with regard to JKPSC exam are misleading. Lok Bhavan had received the file on 2nd Dec, 2025 which was categorically related to Age Relaxation only.
Despite lapse of 4 days Lok Bhavan did not receive any response. I fully sympathize with young aspirants.
The advertisement notice for the examination was published by the J&K Public Service Commission on 22.08.2025. The exam was notified to be conducted on 07.12.2025 through a notice on 06.11.2025”.(KINS)
