Amit Shah lands in Leh

Leh Apr 30: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday arrived in Leh on a two-day visit, during which he is scheduled to attend a series of official and ceremonial engagements, officials said.

An official said that the visit coincides with Buddha Purnima and the first-ever international exposition of the holy relics of Gautama Buddha, set to begin on May 1.

He said that during his stay, the Home Minister is expected to attend the inaugural function of the exposition and review ongoing developmental initiatives in the Union Territory.

Senior officials from the administration and security agencies are also likely to brief him on key issues concerning UT Ladakh.
