Police Martyrs’ sacrifices inspire peace, youth engagement: DGP

Srinagar, Oct 29 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Nalin Prabhat on Thursday paid tribute to 1,621 police martyrs, saying their sacrifices continue to inspire the force’s commitment to peace and youth engagement.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the ‘Pedal Through Paradise’ cycle race at Dal Lake, he highlighted the role of sports in promoting discipline, fitness and keeping youth away from drug abuse and excessive screen time.

Prabhat said J&K Police would continue organising sporting activities across districts and announced Martyrs Memorial football and hockey tournaments to honour fallen personnel and encourage youth participation. (KINS)
