Light showers & thunder predicted for brief period during afternoon today, No major disturbance ahead, weather expected to remain dry from 22

Srinagar, Apr 21 (KINS): As per the latest forecast from the Meteorological Centre Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir is expected to witness generally cloudy conditions on 21st April, with light rain, thunder, and gusty winds likely at scattered places in the Kashmir region and isolated locations across the Jammu division, particularly during the afternoon hours today.

21 April: Cloudy afternoon with chances of light rain/thunder/gusty winds at scattered locations in Kashmir and isolated spots in Jammu.

22–23 April: Weather expected to remain generally dry.

24–25 April: Brief thundershowers with thunder, gusty winds, and possible hailstorm at scattered places during the afternoon.

26–30 April: Predominantly dry conditions across the region.

No major weather disturbance is expected till the end of April, apart from light showers and isolated thundershowers on the afternoons of 21st, 24th, and 25th April.

Residents and travellers are advised to plan accordingly and adhere to all administrative and traffic advisories.

Farmers may resume farm operations from 22nd April onwards.

Given the continuous rainfall over the past three days, the risk of landslides, shooting stones, and rockfall at vulnerable locations cannot be ruled out.

People are urged to stay indoors or in safe places during thunder, lightning, or gusty winds.(KINS)
