Over 700 PHE Employees Transferred in Baramulla to Improve Services

Baramulla, July 16, (KINS): In a major step to improve public services, the Executive Engineer of PHE Division Baramulla has issued three major transfer orders , affecting over 700 field staff. The move is aimed at fixing long-standing issues related to water supply, poor performance, and misuse of positions.

Officials said the decision was taken after years of complaints about absenteeism, favoritism, misuse of authority, and uneven staff distribution.

All transferred employees have been ordered to immediately join their new postings. If they fail to do so, strict disciplinary action will be taken, which may include suspension under government service rules.

“This is a reminder that working for the public is a responsibility, not a privilege,” said the Executive Engineer. “The system must serve the people, not protect personal interests.”

The department also requested the public to remain patient and cooperative during this reshuffle. There may be temporary service disruptions as staff adjust to their new locations, but efforts are being made to ensure smooth and uninterrupted water supply.(KINS)
