Bandipora, October 17 (KINS): CFL Bankoot, in collaboration with RESPONSENET, organised a financial literacy awareness programme for persons with disabilities at the Old Hospital in Bandipora on Saturday to promote financial awareness, inclusion and independence.
During the programme, participants were educated about savings, banking services, digital banking, financial security, government welfare schemes and social security benefits.
Special emphasis was placed on helping persons with disabilities understand their financial rights and access banking facilities and government benefits without unnecessary difficulties.
The programme also provided an interactive platform for participants to raise questions, learn about available financial services and understand how to make informed financial decisions.
The organisers highlighted the importance of financial literacy in empowering persons with disabilities, noting that access to reliable financial information and banking facilities can help them manage their finances independently and avail themselves of eligible government benefits.(KINS)
