Soldier shoots himself in Baramulla

Baramulla, Jan 26 : An Army soldier shot himself dead with his service rifle while on duty in North Kashmir’s Baramalla district on Saturday.

Official reports told that an army soldier Hemant Kumar Panday who was posted at 46 RR (F coy) Parent Unit 20 GUARDS shot himself dead with his service rifle on Saturday. He was on performing day duty when he fatally shot himself with his service rifle.

However he was rushed to nearby medical facility where he was declared brought dead officials added.

Meanwhile a police officer also confirmed to news agency and said that inquest proceedings have been initiated in connection with the incident. (GNS)
