Handwara 03 March 2019: Seeking rehabilitation of families whose houses got destroyed in Babagund encounter AIP, has reiterated the stand that Jammu and Kashmir needs a political resolution that matches sacrifices and also reflects the historic perspective of seventy year long dispute. Party Spokesman Sheeban Ashai in a statement said that party supreamo Er Rasheed visited the slain cop Ghulam Mustafa Barra’s residence at Dugripora Rajwar and expressed sympathy with the family.
Er. Rasheed while addressing a gathering appealed India and Pakistan to resolve seventy year long dispute which has claimed more than one lakh lives and there seems to be no end to violence.
Er. Rasheed said, “Kashmiri’s don not want bloodshed and neither mothers of militants or policemen want to lose their beloved son’s, but the arrogance of New Delhi has created an atmosphere in which violence seems to be only resort to make other side understand one’s view point.
Be it Waseem Ahmad Mir, two police constables, CRPF men or the militants, the pain for families of all near and dear one’s cannot be measured by justifying violence from either side”.
He said that the tragedy of Kashmir can better be understood by thee example of the slain cops family which has been already a victim of the conflict.
Elaborating he said “ Mustafa’s militant brother is on the other side of LOC, away from his family, for last 18 long years while Mustafa died fighting for the state”.
Er Rasheed appealed New Delhi not to pitch kashmiri’s against each other and reiterated that the way to peace goes through resolving Kashmir dispute.
He said, “There are no short cuts except taking all stake holders on board so that the violence comes to an end.
All the political forces with different ideologies should rise above political interests and convince New Delhi and Islamabad that how long kashmiri’s will pay for none of their faults but to the arrogance of two neighboring nuclear powers”.
The statement further said that a party deputation including Advocate Noor Ul Shahbaz, Showket Ah Khan and Showket Pandith visited Babagund village and expressed sympathy with the effected families.
Advocate Shahbaz assured inhabitants of all possible help and sought immediate rehabilitation for the families whose houses were gutted during the encounter.
