Cook at langar for amaranth yatris dies at Baltal

Srinagar, July 5: A 27-year-old cook at a langar for Amarnath pilgrims died of cardiac arrest at Baltal in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday.

Reports said that the cook identified as Shandu Ram (27) son of Ashwani Kumar complained of breathlessness at a langar at Baltal and was removed to nearby health facility, setup for yatris.

Shandu, a resident of Dina Nagar Punjab was later referred to SKIMS Soura where he breathed his last, they said.

Confirming it, a police officer said that Shandu died of heart. (GNS)
