PDP’s PAC dissolution: Top party leaders likely to fall in JKNC’s lap

Srinagar, July 20 : Amid the decision by Peoples Democratic Party to dissolve its Political Affairs Committee (PAC), the political landscape may witness more transformation as some “top guns” are weighing options to make the most in upcoming assembly elections.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which has been witnessing a series of breakdown since the fallout of its break-up with BJP, on Saturday officially, announced to dissolve its Political Affairs Committee (PAC).

This came after many party’s top leaders had quit the party. The latest to resign was party’s founding member Mohammed Khalil Bandh.

The decision to dissolve PAC has also thrown the ever growing fissures wide open, which is going to benefit the rival parties.

Many top leaders have over the time deserted the party while many seem in fray to break up to fall in lap of other parties.

Amid the fracas in the party, credible sources told that at least three members of two top political parties are likely to fall in the lap of National Conference anytime in coming few days. A top leader from Pulwama, while two others one each from Anantnag and Kulgam are set to join Jammu Kashmir National Conference, they said.

The leaders are learnt to have already conveyed their resignations to their respective parties. (GNS)
