Pulwama administration declares ‘COVID Essay Competition’ result

PULWAMA, JUNE 06: District Administration Pulwama has declared results of online essay competition, organised to express solidarity and appreciate the efforts being put in place by healthcare professionals and frontline workers of key departments in fighting COVID-19 pandemic.

The competition witnessed an overwhelming response, as hundreds of essays were received and subsequently scrutinized by an expert committee constituted in this regard.

Hundreds of students from high schools, higher secondary schools and colleges participated in the online essay competition and submitted their creative and innovative ideas on the selected themes of the competition.

These themes were contextualized regarding the valiant efforts of health care professionals and frontline workers in COVID-19 pandemic along with promoting community sensitivity, community participation, volunteerism, mindful social distancing and maintenance of proper hygiene.

While speaking on the occasion Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, expressed happiness on an overwhelming   response to the competition and said that the   best essays will be complied in a newsletter and shall be distributed to all schools and colleges all across the district.

He added that administration shall upload the best produced essays on the district administration’s website, besides displaying the original scripts in all libraries of educational institutions.
