Amid CASO clashes erupted in Sopore Village

Sopore, Jan 10 : Massive Clashes erupted during a cordon and search operation in North Kashmir’s Sopore village on Thursday evening.

Reports said forces Jointly by Army’s 22 year, Special Operation Group of Police (SOG) and CRPF this afternoon launched a Cordon-and-search in Tarzoo village of Sopore.

Officials when contacted told this newspaper that search operation in the area was launched following inputs about the presence of militants movement.

Local reports said as soon as forces conducted door to door search operation in the area, youths hit the streets and pelted stones on forces.

The forces in turn lobbed tear-smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth.

The clashes and search was on when last reports came in.
