Day 3rd : Srinagar-Muzaffarabad National Highway closed, people suffer

Pattan, May 14 : Srinagar-Muzaffarabad National Highway once again blocked by protestors on third consecutive day at parts of Pattan in northern region of Kashmir.

Reports reaching Kashmir Indepth said protests on early Tuesday blocked again Srinagar-Muzaffarabad National Highway at parts of Pattan including Chenabal, Mirgund and Hanjiwera and demanded stern action against alleged Bandipora rape accused.

Reports said traffic movement on highway has been blocked from both sides resulting in immense hardships to the passengers.

Stranded passengers while alleged district authorities for failed to restore Srinagar-Muzaffarabad National Highway said that despite knowing the current situation still failed to impose restrictions sothat transport will ply smoothly on highway.

Meanwhile SSP Baramulla Abdul Qayoom, besides other officials from civil administration reached the spot to intervene into the issue sothat traffic movement will be restored at earliest.

Pertinently, on Monday 47 security forces personnel including 01 Assistant Commandant of SSB 2nd Bn CRPF were injured in a day long clashes in parts of Pattan.
